Eric Steven Hussey was a caring, compassionate, (quick to help anyone) respectful, funny, intelligent, young man.  He had beautiful blue eyes.  Eric brightened everybody's life that he came in contact with, with his kind heart, his fun loving personality and his continual smile that he was known for always having.

He had a passion for dirt bikes.  He rode all through out his 19 years, starting at age 4. He also raced at Latrobe speedway and practiced at Creekside in West Newton. You would find Eric and his friends riding their dirt bikes in the woods and trails by his house. He had a gift for fixing things.  His friends would bring their bikes for him to repair. Eric had a love for the outdoors.  His mother took him fishing for the first time at a very young age and it quickly became one of his favorite past times.  As he grew older, it was typical of him to plan with his friends a day or evening of fishing. Throughout the year, at the end of his school day or work day he would gather his gear and meet up with a group of his friends at a number of local ponds or lakes  to pursue his love of fishing.

Growing up he participated and excelled in a variety of activities such as baseball (pitcher), football, karate, and Royal Rangers which is a faith based scout group. He was given recognition as Ranger of the Year.

He had just finished his Senior year of school at Elizabeth Forward High School.  He was looking forward to spending his summer with his family and friends.  On June 22, 2016 Eric turned nineteen, 5 days after his birthday, June 27, 2016 at 7:09 a.m. while on his way to work. Eric was TRAGICALLY taken from us in a HORRIFIC car accident on RT. 51 Jefferson Hills, Pa.

"A Gift From Eric" The Eric "Huss" Hussey Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to Honor him and to keep his memory alive by helping a deserving graduating Senior, with a similar drive or attitude CHANGE towards school as Eric had in his Senior year.
